Course objective
CAESAR II Training is designed to equip piping engineers, mechanical professionals, and plant designers with the essential skills to perform accurate pipe stress analysis in compliance with international codes. This course introduces participants to the fundamentals of piping stress evaluation, including system behavior under thermal expansion, pressure, weight, seismic loads, and wind. Learners will gain hands-on experience with the CAESAR II interface, modeling piping systems, assigning material properties, applying boundary conditions, and interpreting output reports. Emphasis is placed on understanding critical stress points, load cases, and the application of ASME B31.1/B31.3 codes.
The training covers real-world project scenarios where participants analyze and optimize piping layouts for safety, reliability, and compliance. Topics such as nozzle load evaluation, expansion loop design, support placement, and flexibility analysis are included to help professionals make informed engineering decisions. Advanced modules explore equipment connection analysis, dynamic analysis (including time history and modal), and integration with 3D modeling tools like CADWorx. By the end of the course, participants will be capable of performing comprehensive stress checks and ensuring the structural integrity of piping systems across oil & gas, power, petrochemical, and industrial plant projects.
