This advanced training program on Green Building Design using Autodesk Forma, Insight, and Green Building Studio is crafted to empower architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants with deep expertise in energy modeling, environmental analysis, and performance-driven design. The primary objective is to provide learners with practical, tool-based workflows for designing high-performance buildings that are resource-efficient, environmentally responsible, and aligned with global green building certifications such as LEED, IGBC, BREEAM, and WELL.

The course introduces Autodesk Forma as a powerful platform for early-stage planning and urban design, focusing on massing studies, solar access, microclimate analysis, and daylight modeling. Insight and Green Building Studio, as performance analysis engines, allow participants to simulate energy consumption, thermal comfort, HVAC loads, and building lifecycle carbon footprint. These tools provide data-driven guidance for optimizing envelope design, material selection, HVAC systems, and renewable energy integration.

A significant goal of this course is to teach participants how to embed sustainability metrics at the early design phase, where they have the greatest impact, by integrating BIM with environmental analytics. The course fosters a systems-thinking approach where building orientation, glazing, insulation, and ventilation strategies are iteratively tested to enhance performance while reducing operating costs and emissions.
