Course objective
AutoCAD Plant 3D Training is designed to provide professionals in the process, piping, and plant design industries with hands-on expertise in creating intelligent 3D models for industrial facilities. This course covers the complete workflow of plant design—from setting up project structures to Designing Equipment, Piping Systems, And Structural Supports within a collaborative environment. Learners will gain proficiency in creating P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), generating accurate 3D piping layouts, and producing isometric and orthographic drawings. The training also focuses on using spec-driven design tools, component libraries, and tagging systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Participants will also explore Project Setup, Data Management, and Integration with other Autodesk tools, enabling a smooth Design-to-Documentation process. The course includes modules on Customizing Specifications, Managing Pipe Catalogs, Extracting Bill of Materials (BOM), and Conducting Clash Detection to Reduce Design Errors. By the end of the training, learners will be capable of delivering complete and coordinated plant design packages suitable for EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) environments.
