Course objective
This in-depth course is designed to provide civil engineers, designers, surveyors, and infrastructure professionals with the comprehensive skills required to plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects using Autodesk Civil 3D. The objective is to enable participants to master terrain modeling, corridor modeling, road and highway design, site grading, stormwater management, and utility design in a dynamic and intelligent BIM-based environment.
Autodesk Civil 3D is a powerful civil infrastructure solution that supports Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. This course empowers learners to transition from traditional 2D CAD practices to fully parametric, 3D-enabled, data-rich designs that allow for faster design iterations, improved documentation, and enhanced collaboration between multidisciplinary teams.
The course focuses on real-world applications such as site development, transportation infrastructure, land subdivision, earthwork calculations, and hydrologic-hydraulic design. It integrates survey data processing, alignment design, profile and cross-section creation, corridor modeling, and pipe network drafting to build smart, connected, and accurate civil designs.
